My Adventure At Petapalooza LV 4-10-10

Guess what people? I got to go somewhere. YAY! And now I know you are probably wondering why that would be such a big deal, but it is. I never go anywhere. Unless, it is the Grocery Store, or the lovely Wal-Mart. But, the only reasons I even go to those places, is because I force myself to get some kind of Human-Interaction. Ew!

I have a people-phobia and a germ-phobia. And did you know that people carry germs? YEAH I KNOW!

Enough with my rambling: I went to Petapalooza LV, which is our local event here in Las Vegas. It is sort of like a festival where you get to bring your animals. But, there were mostly dogs there, and there was one cat. Seriously, who would brings their cat to a place with 20 thousand dogs?

It has been going on now for 12 years, but this was my first one. It was only 7 bucks to get in, and it was for the whole day. Cheap fun, gotta love it.

There were rides there, and some bouncy houses, mostly for the younger kids, but it all looked fun to me. I stayed out of the bouncy houses though, because I didn’t want the 5 year olds laughing at me. *Cries*

Petapalooza had agility, wiener dog races (there were some big wieners too) and some more stuff – so you could keep yourself entertained and your dogs. We watched the Wiener Races, which was just cute… most of them had no idea what to do. And some of them were real show-boaters.

We had to be one of the only groups of people who did not even have dogs. Of course, I do have two mutts of my own, but didn’t want to bring them encase it was a hot day. And my little girl dog is anything but socialized. Ah, her and I have so much in common.

There was all kinds of dogs, from pure breeds, to good ‘ol mutts. I was sort of in love with the mutts.

One thing there for humans was, a little mini concert. The people singing were: Orithani, Five For Fighting, Kris Allen and Bare-Naked-Ladies. I am not a huge fan of any of them, but still. We had just gotten there when Orithani started, so I didn’t get any pictures of her. I was more interested in the dogs than her anyway. We also missed FFF. BUT, I did get to see Kris Allen. YAY! I’m a huge American Idol fan, but not the biggest Kris Allen fan. I must say though, I do like him a bit more now. He seemed cool and he actually sound like he does on the radio. Unlike most who are all fixed up. I did get pictures, which are soon to come. Bare-Naked-Ladies on the other hand… I think they are old, probably because they are. But, my Mother wanted to see them (because she’s old(er). Lolz). So, we stayed and got right up in the freakin’ most pit of people and watched them. I also have pictures for that. They were funny, I have to say.

All together it was fun, and I’m glad I got out of the house. We met allot of cool dogs and cool dog-owners and I even got a TAN. Oh wait, I mean BURN. Thank god there is some color to my skin now, though.

We chatted with @VegasRockDog for a long time, because she sure liked to talk and she's fun. She was with the Las Vegas Dachshund Rescue.

If you went to Petapolooza, what did you think? And if you didn’t… thank you for reading my post and trying to figure out WTH I was trying to get across.

Here are some random pictures that we took. Hope you enjoy them, and be sure to leave a comment below.

Peeeeace out.

Those are cool! It looked like a lot of fun! The crazy dyed dogs freaked me out a little, and that guy in front of you with the blond hair was a little strange, but it sounded like a pretty good concert. I'm from the old school of BNL too...it ain't a party unless someone breaks out "Alcohol"...as in "I love you more than I did the week before I discovered alcohol...." :)
