A little about the Puli.

The Puli is a Hungarian sheep dog that loves to play in the water. When they are puppies that are bald and their hair grows slowly. It is a lot of work to take care of the hair too. An adult Puli’s hair can go all the way to the ground.

Puli’s are not liked in some Countries cuz of their colors. Only the All black, gray, and the apricot ones are liked in the U.K. They have a very box shaped body, but their heads are egg shaped. They are very muscular, but they do not have very strong bones. They are very lively, happy little guys. That love their people and are very good family dogs! They are very easy to train, but they do like to goof off a lot. They are very protective over their people, but if that person is not mean to them or their people then they should be just fine.

Some people think that they do not like the heat cuz of all that matted fur, well they can live most anywhere. They can live in the heat or they can live in the cold, it don’t matter to them. They are more of a farm dog and they love big yard’s, but they can do ok in like an apartment and small place.

They have to have their ears checked a lot and they get eye infections sometimes, but they have no big heath problems if they are taking care of. A male is about 16 to 17 ½ inches tall and weighs about 25 – 35 pounds. A female is about 14 to 15 ½ inches tall and they weigh about 20 – 30 pounds. That is just on a healthy diet. They will normally live to about 12 – 14. I want a Puli so bad and one day hope to get one.
