Music Pick: The Scene Aesthetic

Before my “Latest Favorite Band” was Porcelain and the Tramps. But, now I’m obsessed with a Band by the name of The Scene Aesthetic.

They are not very well known, but they are sooo good. I found them on Myspace (even though I have no myspace) and watched a few of their homemade videos, and liked them.

They are two dudes from Seattle, Washington that decided to make up and tiny little acoustic/indie pop band. The lead singer is Eric Bowley, and the other singer/guitar player is Andrew De Torres.

They both started ON myspace and soon become more popular when they posted about their song, “Beauty in the Breakdown”. That is my favorite songs from them, maybe because it was the first one I heard.

Their first album released in 2006, was called “Building Homes From What We've Known”. That is my favorite which also has my favorite song.

Their second album released in 2007, I didn’t really get because it has allot of the same songs on it as the first one, but some of the different songs were pretty good. I can not say it was my favorite. It is called, “The Scene Aesthetic”. To me, if you are going to be releasing an album, your first one should be self titled. Lolz! Not your second.

The short, but sweet last album that was released in 2009 is called “A Type & A Shadow EP” is my FAVORITE of them all. I have all the songs on my blip and iTunes. “Humans” is great. I think you should listen to them and check them out.

They are not fancy, but that is what makes me like them more. They don’t have all the bullcrap Auto-tone to their music. It is just them being themselves, which makes them stand out. I am not a huge fan of the Acoustic stuff, but I recommend them if you do not want to be listening to Katy Perry, or Porcelain and the Tramps. It’s calmmmm muuusic.

Humans, by The Scene Aesthetic. Hope you like it.

P.S That was the best video because I could not find much.

Tell me what you think in a comment below. Tell me if I have a crappy taste for music.

If you find any bands that YOU think are cool and want written about. Let me know and I'll check them out. If they suck to me, then you won't see them on my blog. Muahah!
