American Idol Top Three Try To Kill Each Other. That would be a good title!
This week the judges got to pick songs for the top three and then the contestants got to pick one song of their own to sing.
Ryan came down the stairs and I was thinking in the back of my head… or in the front? I am never sure… “If those stairs went back as he was coming down them that would be uber funny”. HAHA! Never mind!
He rambled about this being their 300th show. But last week did he talk about Mr. 299? NO! He also talked about the contestants going home, but they do not show that till tomorrow.
Oh and, Simon had a Coke stain on his shirt. Must be part of the sponsoring?
First up was Da Gokester, Danny Gokey: He sang, “Dance Little Sister” by Terrance Trent Darby. Paula Abdul picked this song for him. He sounded really off for some reason. It was almost like the band was outdoing him or to loud for him. Randy seemed to think it was dope. It was NOT dope Randy, you are ON dope. Kara hated the dancing and thought it was forced. NO DUH KARA, this is not “So You Think You Can Dance”. She also thought it was unmemorable. Paula talked about her being a choreograph person (because we all forgot she had talent) and thought it was fantastic. Simon thought it was a good person to sing; just it was the wrong song. I think he was talking to Paula and not Danny. Then Saula (Simon/Paula) got into it and they were doing something that the cameras would not show. OOOOOO! Whatev.
Kris Allen: He sang, “Apologize” by One Republic. This song was chosen by Kara and Randy because there are four judges and only 3 contestants and if you can do the math, you would see where that causes a problem. OMG, one more reason to get rid of Kara! I did NOT think it was good. A: I hate that song with a passion. B: I hate Kris Allen singing that song I already hated… with a passion. Randy talked about him doing songs like this if he were to make an album. God, please Kris, do not sing songs like that if you make it. Kara was not fond of it saying, “You need to be swinging it out of the park, take more chances”. Paula talked about something. Simon told Kara, “You can not choose songs for him and then say he did not take chances”. He had a point with that. I did not like it at all; I think Kara and Randy were high when they picked that for him.
Adam Lambert: He sang, “One” by U2. Simon picked this song. He even had to get permission from U2 for Adam to be able to sing it. It was not my favorite, but it was okay. Randy thought he was in the zone, but did not love it. And Simon BOOED in the background. Kara said he was a strategist. Paula thought it was SUPERB. Simon thought it was a brilliant song choice (Lolz) and thought he did well. Simon also made the comment that us people should not assume that because he is the favorite we do not need to worrie about voting for him. There has been MUCH better from Adam.
Carrie Underwood talked about the Idol gives back in a video. That was depressing.
Danny Gokey: He sang, “You Are So Beautiful” by Joe Cocker. My Mum said that song has been karaoke-d a million times. I thought it was boring. The dude can sing, but it was so… boohooish. Randy thinks it is an amazing song, and thought Danny could REALLY sing. Kara said, “Everything you did NOT do in the first performance, you JUST did”. Paula thought he nailed it. Simon called that a “Vocal Master Class”. I did not think it was all the rage like they did!
Kris Allen: He sang, “Heartless” by Kanye West. I liked the song when Kanye did it, not Kris. Randy thought it was better than the original. Kara loved it. Paula thought it was brave to sing about Simon. HAHA! Simon thought it was great.
Adam Lambert: He sang, “Cryin” by Aerosmith. I am not a fan of that song because all it is, is SCREAMING. AHHHHH! I guess that could be why Adam picked it. Randy thinks he is one of the best Idol has ever had. Kara wanted to know how he hit those high notes and then could still talk the next day. Paula said, “We will see you in the finals”. Simon thinks he deserves to be in the finals based on talent. I voted, but I did not like either one of the performances. Still voted for him.
I was not impressed with tonight. I think there have been much better weeks, sort of like last week. Without the part of Allison getting voted off.
Kris was probably the best and that is sad.
Who did you like???
